The Challenge
General Contractors (GCs) spend days manually reviewing PDF blueprints to estimate project costs. This bottleneck slows down bidding and introduces human error. ProBuild needed a way to ingest complex technical documents and instantly extract structured data while connecting GCs with available subcontractors.

QPOI served as the complete engineering team, architecting a scalable, cloud-native platform that combines generative AI with rigorous engineering standards.
1. The "Blueprint-to-Timeline" Engine
We built a proprietary system that ingests PDF blueprints and uses a multi-stage AI pipeline to extract architectural specifications, generate a line-item Bill of Materials (BOM), and create a Gantt-chart schedule with critical path logic.
2. Human-in-the-Loop Architecture
AI isn't perfect, so we built a "Self-Healing" workflow. If the system encounters ambiguous data, it pauses to interview the user (e.g., "Is the foundation slab or crawlspace?"), ensuring 100% accuracy before finalizing the estimate.
3. Real-Time Marketplace
We engineered a reactive, geospatial search engine that allows subcontractors to find jobs based on trade and location. Real-time notifications (SignalR) alert users instantly when bids are accepted.
