The project at a glance

The problem

The client wanted chart screenshots to become structured analysis that people could review on a phone.

What QPOI delivered

QPOI connected image capture, analysis and saved history with subscriptions and store submission.

Delivery evidence

An iOS and Android MVP was delivered. Completed analyses and images are saved on-device for later review.

1.0

The challenge

The client wanted traders to submit a chart screenshot and review its analysis on a phone, without entering chart data by hand. The result needed a clear structure that could be scanned on a small screen.

That meant preparing large images for upload, translating model responses into consistent interface sections, and saving each analysis for later review. QPOI also handled the subscriptions, advertising and store submission needed to release the app.

Core features

2.1

Image capture and AI analysis

Chart screenshots are resized and compressed on the phone before a vision model analyses them. This reduces the image payload sent for each request.

2.2

Analysis with a consistent structure

The model returns structured data that the app renders as signal sections and written explanations. Each result uses the same presentation, making separate analyses easier to compare.

2.3

Local-first history

Saved analyses and image history handled locally on-device, reducing backend complexity and giving users quick access to previous setups.

2.4

Visual cues and written explanations

The result screen combines visual signal cues with a written breakdown of the chart analysis. It presents the model output for the trader to review.

Mobile engineering fundamentals

3.1
Image optimisation

On-device resizing and compression reduce image memory use and the size of requests sent to the model.

3.2
Saved analysis history

Images hashed and stored locally, allowing offline review of past setups.

3.3
Compliance

Managed App Store review for AI content, user-generated-content rules, and ATT privacy.
