Mobile App Development for iOS & Android
Mobile app development.
From idea to everyday use.
QPOI builds iOS and Android products for new ventures and businesses extending an existing service. The work covers the app, its supporting services and the details that matter when people start using it.
Where it fits
The problem comes first.
A new mobile product
We help define the core experience and the first release, including how users join, what brings them back and how the product will be funded. A subscription, camera feature or AI workflow needs to fit that experience from the start.
An existing service on mobile
A mobile app can give customers or staff access to an existing platform on the move. We review the current accounts, APIs and data permissions before deciding what belongs on the device and what stays in your existing systems.
The work involved
What we can build with you.
An app for both platforms
React Native and Expo support a shared foundation for iOS and Android. Navigation, permissions and device behaviour still need attention on each platform, with testing matched to the features being delivered.
Accounts and commercial flows
Onboarding, authentication, subscriptions and purchase restoration can be included in the scope. We plan the account lifecycle and entitlement checks alongside the user interface.
The less visible product details
Camera access, recordings, local storage and interrupted connections each introduce their own constraints. We define the expected behaviour for the features your app needs, including what people can do when a service is unavailable.
Preparation for release
Build configuration, store submission preparation and release testing are part of the delivery discussion. Store accounts, ownership and the responsibilities for future updates are agreed before handover.
In practice

Auddr.ai
A launched iOS and Android wardrobe app. Users upload garment photos and add information about their clothes; the product uses wardrobe, weather and styling preferences to suggest outfits. Subscriptions and store delivery complete the mobile product.

A local-first meeting notes app combining recording, summaries and action items. It illustrates the decisions around captured information, device storage and AI-assisted processing.

Questions worth working through.
Should we launch on iOS and Android together?
That depends on the audience and the first release. A shared codebase can support both, but each platform still has its own testing and release work. We agree the rollout around who needs the app and the time available to validate it.
Can the app work offline?
Where the workflow supports it, selected data and actions can be kept on the device. We define which features need a connection, what happens while offline and how changes are reconciled when the connection returns.
What happens after launch?
Store feedback, operating-system updates and product improvements need an owner. We agree the handover and can discuss a separate ongoing development or support arrangement. Store approval and commercial success cannot be guaranteed by the build itself.
