Systems Integration & API Development
Systems integration.
Make the connections work.
When information lives across several systems, people often become the connection between them. QPOI builds APIs, data pipelines and interfaces that make existing business information usable where it is needed.
Where it fits
The problem comes first.
Disconnected operational tools
Repeated exports, manual copying and inconsistent records can make a straightforward process hard to trust. We map where information starts, which system owns it and which other systems need to receive it.
A new product using existing data
A customer portal, mobile app or internal assistant may need access to established business systems. We build the connection around existing permissions and data contracts, so the new interface respects the rules of the underlying service.
The work involved
What we can build with you.
A clear data and access model
We identify the source of truth for each record, the identifiers that connect systems and who is permitted to read or change the data. That prevents the integration design from relying on assumptions about ownership.
APIs and transformation pipelines
Incoming records are validated and reshaped for the destination. The implementation can use APIs, scheduled imports or event-driven updates, depending on the available interfaces and how current the information needs to be.
Failure and reconciliation handling
Services become unavailable and records change. We design the response to failed updates, repeated events and partial completion, including the visibility needed to investigate and correct problems.
Interfaces for the people using the data
An integration may also need search, reporting or an operational view. Those interfaces are designed around the questions people need to answer, with access checks applied to the information they receive.
In practice

Voice Sales Assistant
Field sales users ask questions through voice or chat and receive answers from live account data. Governed data access and answer validation are central to the pilot, with further implementation detail in the engineering notes.

Questions worth working through.
What if a system does not have an API?
We review the supported options, such as exports, imports or an approved database interface. The available access and the supplier terms determine what is feasible. We do not assume every system can support a reliable live connection.
Does the data need to update in real time?
Only if the workflow needs it. A scheduled synchronisation may be sufficient for reporting, while an operational decision may require a live lookup. We agree the acceptable delay and behaviour when the source is unavailable.
Can you integrate without replacing our existing software?
Often, yes. A focused integration can add a missing capability while the existing system remains the source of truth. We check interface stability, access controls and ongoing ownership before recommending that approach.
